Intel HD 2000 IGP Drivers for Linux

Hi,
I have a Core i3 2100 which probably has an Intel HD 2000 IGP.
I've tried installing Ubuntu 10.10 on it, but it does not detect the HW properly.
I only know this because I was trying to enable Desktop effects (Compiz etc).
I have tried xorg.edgers and some other sites but I have not been able to get the drivers.
Maybe I should try a different distro/version.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

The last article is probably most relavent to getting your graphics working properly.

The basic gist of it is that intel graphics on Sandy Bridge systems won't 'just work' until Ubuntu 11, Fedora 15, etc... You can compile the proper version of the kernel, MESA, etc. into ubuntu 10.10

So basically this is the main stuff I need to get working:
The stock packages include the Linux 2.6.35 kernel, xf86-video-intel 2.12, and Mesa 7.9-devel. Upgrades included the latest Linux 2.6.38 kernel as of yesterday, xf86-video-intel 2.14.901, libdrm 2.4.24, and Mesa 7.11-devel Git as of today.

...which means I have to build most of this stuff (which I havent done before)

I'll have a go at Ubuntu 11 Alpha...if that doesnt work I'll go back to trying to build this...
lets see how it goes
