I am at a loss.
I am on a Dell Inspiron 5300 that uses Windows 7 and an Intel 4000 HD graphics card and no matter what I do I can't seem to update my video driver. I have tried uninstalling my current one and installing the up to date version (15.33.22.64.3621), though half way through the installation the installer will stop saying installing version 15.etc and will start to say that it is installing the standard 10.18. When I run Windows Auto Update it will say my drivers are up to date. When I start up my computer I receive an error message saying that a driver is incompatible and is being disabled. Because of this issue I can't fullscreen any games, nor can I get half of my games to load past the opening screen before CTD with a message saying the game encountered a problem and will now close. Is there any solution or advice for this? I have scoured the internet to no avail and could use all of the help that I can get.
Thanks in advance
