Intel hd 4600 Refresh rate limit

Hi, Im using intel hd 4600 and I cannot add more than 66hz through custom resolution app. It gives error "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity"

While my CRT monitor highest settings is 1600x1200 @ 75hz. (my monitor is Hp 9500)

While googling i found some other folks had same problem but couldn't find any solution. Is there any work around?

The monitor manufacturer has no idea what graphics card you are going to connect it to.

The capabilities of your monitor as regards maximum resolution & refresh are quite separate from the maximum that the graphics card is capable of providing to that monitor.

You are limited to what the graphics card is capable of if it's limitations are lower than than those of the monitor.

Ty for quick response, so hd 4600 can't support 1600x1200 @ 75hz ? thats really sad

is there details on whats its maximum capacity?
