Intel HD 4600 vs GT 610 2GB

Hi there,

I have a GT 610 2GB. I have a Core i5 4460 with the 4600 graphics. What I want to know is, will I get better performance with the iGPU in games like CS:GO and TS 2016? I'm gonna be getting a 950 for Christmas hopefully, just looking for a temporary solution to tide me over until then.

Those are close enough that it probably depends on driver optimizations and the particulars of your system and software. I would try them both and find out.

clutchc's benchmark link makes the 610 look more or less like a stinker, compared to the HD 4600. Something else to think about is, the 610 is long in the tooth as far as NVIDIA is concerned, so is likely overlooked as far as driver improvements go.

Userbenchmark SAYS the 4600 should be better.

I 'upgraded' from a 610 to intel hd5500 and my games have all been more glitchy if you will. Wierd optimization issues.You might as well see if the 4600 works for you and if not, you could temporarily use a gt730 which is even better then a 610.
