After almost over a decade I switched back to intel from AMD. My i3 has HD510 Graphics and I ran some games and looked decent enough for something like this. I am just curious which external graphics would be equivalent to Intel HD 510?

Solution
For gaming I suggest getting something that's a lot better, depending on budget.

HD510 equivalent?
(takes some sleuthing)
- HD530 approx. 50% faster
- GT730 approx. 2x faster than HD530
- so GT730 is about 3X faster than HD510

GT710 appears to be closes to the HD510 but should still be a bit faster
GT730 with 96 cuda cores also exist and should be SIMILAR to the HD510 in some titles

$105+ GTX750Ti 2GB (1050Ti is a lot better)

Once you start dropping below $100 there's a lot of older cards or ones that are much, much lower performance for playing games.

*A lot of people find a certain level of gaming just "fine" but when they get a faster GPU they discover what they are missing and can't go back. Even for lower-end games it can make things much power enjoyable.

Pretty much any 3D game needs a better GPU IMO (or demanding 2D/2.5D games).

I even tried TORCHLIGHT 2 on an HD4600 and it was okay on LOW but not quite good enough. The HD530 is probably a bit better. I was curious but thus far haven't found a good link comparing.

Anyway, the HD530 is okay as I said for light gaming but personally I'd go with a GTX1050Ti. Overkill? No way to answer that without knowing the games but it's not too expensive at least.

Ofcourse I know any external card is going to outperform Intel's discrete graphics. I got surprised because in the past I've had many motherboards with on-board graphics but not one of them was anywhere capable of running even older titles like this one does. And yeah I am not planning to play games on Intel's 510 discrete graphics lol.

I saw it's performance out of curiosity and just asked the question.
