Intel HD 520 VS R5 M330

Hey guys, my friend recently purchases an i7 laptop with inbuilt Intel HD 520, the laptop also comes with an AMD R5 M330 2GB card. Ive checked online benchmarks and stuff and it seem like the inbuilt graphics running a good deal faster than the dedicated card.

Can someone let me know if i might have left anything out? Cause why would it have a dedicated card if it is weaker than the processor graphics.

Not so sure. Also depends on the amount of shaders / stream processors but its kinda hard to compare because the intel EU (execution unit) differs from AMDs CU (compute unit) approach. In a notebook of mine I have roughly the same debate where my integrated graphics is on paper just as fast as the discrete part. But in gaming, the dedicated one seems to get the highest framerates. Which is the probably the case for you too, it could however depend on which game you play. OEMs arent generally known for their best setups, and putting an obsolte dGPU in wouldnt be the first time it happened.
