Intel HD Graphics 3000 lag

I have a laptop with an intel i3 2328m 2.2 Ghz and Intel hd 3000 gpu. The problem is that my gpu has been lagging horribly lately, especially even though i run games with game booster on high performance mode,but i noticed that when i play i cant hear the fan and the vents are not as hot as they where a few days ago. For example League of Legends runs at 60 fps but suddenly it drops to 2 fps and then gets back to 60, please help this is Really annoying.

If you think the heat coming out is less or the air flow has decreased it is time to shut down and blast a can of compressed gas(air duster) into the vents to clean them.

If the card or cpu gets too hot(both cooled by the same heatsink since it is integrated in the cpu it self) it can clock down to avoid damage.

MMO type games also sometimes load on the fly and it can cause some minor skips at these points. Defragging your hard drive is also recommended. If you have an SSD, do not defrag that.

Use coolerpad or reduce game settings or lock down to 30 FPS or use another power plan which uses less CPU.
