Hi.
I naively bought Acer B276HUL Aymiidprz 27" WQHD (2560 x 1440) display. I own ASUS UX32A with graphics card Intel HD Graphics 4000. My laptop has only USB, HDMI and mini VGA port.
I'm using HDMI connection but it only supports up to 1920x1200. I read that I need display port connection for 2560x1440 resolution.
Is there any solution to run display at best resolution?

I don't have displayport on my computer. Monitor has diplsayport.
I used http://www.notebookcheck.net/2560x1440-or-2560x1600-via-HDMI.92840.0.html this solution. It works. I still have a couple of questions:
Is it safe?
Is there any way to connect laptop and monitor via displayport cable and achieve best resolution?

If I use display port to hdmi adapter for connecting display port cable to my computer; is it the same as having display port connection or is it the same as having hdmi connection? Thanks.
I meant there is some cost anyway; 5 Hz less refresh rate and only reduced blank timing standard. Resolution is the same, yeah.:)
