So...

I have HP 15-P239SA laptop and Intel HD 5500 inside. I am a little desperate for some more GPU power and I tried installing Intel's XTU (official oc utility) to try to do something.

Unfortunately, it doesn;t allow me to anything besides tweaking the voltage and voltage offset. I googled around and found out that my system is locked to oc it but at least I can play with voltage. I still don't know what is this offset thingy and I don't know what is the default voltage of my GPU. It just says "default".

If i tweak the offset, it goes from the middle - to the right goes plus and to the left minus. But regular voltage slider goes from the beginning on the left and when moved to the right it goes from zero and on. Will it make any improvement if I turn up the voltage despite not being able to tweak frequencies or multipliers? What is the default voltage anyway?????

Adding more voltage won't give you better performance if you can't overclock. I don't know what the default voltage is but I know that the processor in your laptop is an ultra low voltage model intentionally under clocked to use less power.
