Intel hd graphics help

Why wont my intel hd graphics work it said it was not connected.i tried to enable it but it wont let me do any changes. I asked Microsoft they made my problems worst they told to uninstall it so no i cant even see it. I tried to download the driver but it says i dont have the system requirements. I tried resetting my pc it wont reset. HELP!

FULL system specs would be helpful, including EXACT model numbers.

Is there a GPU card installed, even if it's not being used?

Is this a new build, or an old one? Graphics were working before at some point, and just suddenly quit, or are you trying to get a display up for the first time?

Display cable from the monitor IS connected to the motherboard outputs or is it connected to the outputs from a graphics card that is installed?

I have a hp 8300 elite small form factor cpu is intel i5-3470, running Windows 10 i was getting code 45 when i would open the intel hd graphics in display ports

IS there a PCIe graphics card installed? Even if it's not connected to the monitor video cable.

We need:

Motherboard model number (Should be printed somewhere on the motherboard)

Power supply model number (Somewhere on the PSU label)

Graphics card (If there is one)

Memory installed

I have 16gb of ram ,gpu i have a amd r7 240 4gb , power supply number is s/n 02075337, motherboard label under the bar code has pcebk0ed64k5i

Ok. So are you USING the R7 240 currently, and are just trying to ALSO use the integrated graphics, or why are you trying to connect your monitor to the motherboard/cpu graphics?

Generally, integrated graphics won't work if there is a PCIe GPU card installed, and sometimes the reverse is true. Have you tried removing the graphics card and then seeing if your HD graphics are working?

Is there a reason why you're trying to use the iGPU when you have a more capable graphics card installed, or are you trying to use BOTH?

You may actually have to go into the bios and change the graphics settings to enable the integrated graphics.

My reason to want to use the integrated graphics is install my gtx 1050ti once i install that i will just go back to using my gpu

You don't need to use integrated graphics to install your new hardware.

Just turn off the power.

Remove the R7 240 card from the system by disconnecting all cables running to the graphics card, unlocking the slide lock at the PCIe slot, remove the screw holding the card to the back of the case.

Install is the reverse order.

Power up.

Once you are in Windows, or you can download it to a flash drive or other external media like an external hard drive, download the latest driver version from here:

Install the Nvidia drivers, restart, done.

You don't need a different card or integrated graphics to do that. The card will work with basic functions as long as it is installed, your video cables are plugged into it and any necessary power cables are connected to it from the PSU, if that card uses any. Most 1050ti models do not need supplemental power but there are a few models that require it. If yours needs it, connect it. If not, ignore that step.

Once you are in Windows you can run the Nvidia driver package you previously downloaded, then restart afterwards and that should be the end of it.
