Intel i3 3220 or AMD FX 4100

Hello,

I'm building a computer soon and I'm having trouble deciding which one will be better for gaming with. I would like to play games like Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed, Skyrim and Battlefield 3. To help you, here are my specs so far:

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card (Twin Frozer)
Ram: Corsair 8GB
PSU: Corsair 430W

go with i3 3200.it will bang fx 4100.i3 is way faster + hyperthreating will boost performance in some games.

Based on that and others have already suggested
I would also suggest the i3 3220 and a h67 motherboard
You should be able to enjoy good gaming with the combination

If you want to overclock at all, FX 6300. I wouldn't recommend any Bulldozer based FX. If you don't want to overclock at all, the i3 is still a nice choice. Going forward the FX might do a bit better as games support more cores. AMD making the 8 core APU for the PS4 makes me believe that they will, since the cores in the PS4 APU will be x86 just like their desktop and laptop ones are. It would be silly to optimize a game for 8, x86 cores in a PS4 and not have that same kind of optimization when it is ported to PC.

Get the FX 4300.
Its cheaper than i3, would run Cpu intensive games (BF3) better.
Overclocks pretty easily, boosting your CPU performance.
Its a good cpu for the money.
