Hi guys.
I have a question.
At my job I use a computer with an AMD FX 8350 CPU and 8 gigs of RAM.
I was offered, if I want, one with an Intel i3 6100 CPU and also 8 gigs of RAM.
Should I make the change or not?
Of course, no gaming, all office work (Windows 10, Office 365, browsing, etc).
Thanks!

I have some older lga775 platform based systems and it's amazing how much quicker the e8600 feels than even a q9550 thanks to the small difference in single thread performance:

At the same time, that being said, my i5-680 systems don't feel much slower than my i5-2500 systems even though the single thread performance is about the same difference:

For what you are doing I highly doubt you'd notice a difference between them.

Because the memory bandwidth is more too, there should be difference felt for sure.
Remember we are not dealing with a gaming rig, single threaded performance and memory bandwidth are not the only factors. In benchmarks and games yes there is a noticeable difference, in the programs the OP is running the difference won't really be noticeable. Now if the OP has multiple windows/programs running(common with productivity systems) the i3 could perform worse as it has half the threads.

Yeah, I run multiple programs, windows, lots of browser tabs, etc. I still don't know what to do. I guess keep the 8350.
