Im going to build a new pc mainly for gaming and streaming, but also some graphic design work. I have heard that the best way to stream is to use GPU encoder and comparing the NVENC and AMD encoder I couldn't really find which one of these is better and more efficient. Some people saying that the NVENC is superior compared to AMD and some people said that after a new update the AMD Encoder is on par with Nvidia. I know that RX 6700 XT would give me better raw performance but if the streaming would look bad or would be lagging I probably don't want it. So which is better for streaming and gaming, RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT ?

And also, is i5 10400F good enough in 2023 for gaming and streaming or Ryzen 5 5600X / Risen 5 5600 is going to be better for my build ?

Solution
I don't stream, but have to ask .. what about this?

RTX 3060Ti + Ryzen 5 5600x ?

I would at least for Intel go i5 12400(f) or 13400(f), but don't know how that will affect your budget, just the same as above question.
For AMD is there maybe also the 5700 where the xtra cores can take care of the streaming with OBS to do the stream. Again budget permitting ...

First of all thank you for your response. Well, ryzen 5 5600x + rtx 3060ti is still within my budget, because in my country we have good amd ryzen sales atm. Going for better ryzen like ryzen 7 is already out of my budget just as going for newer generation of Intel (they tend to be very expensive in my country). So basically out of what you said the combo of ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3060ti is only within my budget unfortunately But seems to be one i like the most. You think it could handle streaming and gaming Well ?

Actually, im sorry. I could go for i5 12400f + rtx 3060 ti and still stay in the budget. Basically this combo is same price as this one - rtx 3060 ti and i5 12400f. Now the question is. Which cpu is better for my usage, the i5 12400f or ryzen 5 5600x

Thank you, I just ordered the components like an hour ago. I went for Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 3060Ti, hopefully when I will decide to stream the quality and fps will be just okay. I personally didn't like many motherboards that I could go for if I would choose the intel CPU

Both the 5600x and 12400/13400 are closely matched.

In terms of graphics, the 6700 is slightly faster most of the time, but once you factor in RT effects DLSS/FSR then the 3060ti is better.

Both are solid for Ultra 1080p and really good 1440p performance.

I've got both 5600x/3060ti, and there's nothing I haven't thrown at it yet, that's disappointed me.

Im really glad you say that. That it didn't disappointed you because I was kinda scared if the performance would be enough for my needs and preferences. I was going to buy the rx 6700 XT and then I realised that I would like to stream, but the AMD encoder is probably not going to be as good as NVENC so that's why I chose what I chose. Thank you all guys for the recommendations
