Intel i5-3570K hyperthreading

So its been a while since i bought this CPU, and i downloaded Speccy to see my temps and make sure it was still running cool. Well when i go to look at my specs it says my CPU has hyperthreading supported but not enabled. when i did a quick search for this CPU it turns out that this cpu never did have hyperthreading. Upon further research someone on the internet claims that they were able to enable hyperthreading by doing something to their ram? is this true? is there a way to allow hyperthreading on my 3570K or this just a hoax lol

it's a 3 year old chip... do what I did and buy an i7 3770. not real expensive now.

Actually, it's 5 yrs old. I bought one in 2012.
But still a solid performer.
