I currently have an Intel I5 3570k CPU with an Nvidia GTX 660ti GPU. I wanted to upgrade my computer so that I can get better performance. My original plan was to just upgrade the CPU and GPU but I found out that the LGA 1155 is an outdated socket. If I wanted to upgrade my CPU I would also have to upgrade my Heatsink and Motherboard just so that it's compatible with the new socket. (That will go way over my budget).

My new plan is to just upgrade my GPU and keep the old CPU. I'm planning on getting a Nvidia GTX 960 or GTX 970.

My question is: If I upgrade my GPU and leave my old CPU (I5 3570k), will my system bottleneck?
