intel i5 4440 vs amd fx 8350

i m buying new PC for gaming and kindda confused between fx8350 and i5 4440 4th gen...!!!

i m matching i5 4440 with GTX 960 2 GB is that fine.....!!!!
and i m confused here ...!!!
see fx 8350= 8 cores and 4.7 GHz
while i5 4440 = 4 cores 3.3 GHz...???? how can they match up...!!!

The i5 has a much stronger single threaded performance, so it is the best choice for gaming.
Cores and GHz aren't the best way to compare AMD and Intel CPUs since they are really different. It is best to check some benchmarks for real world performance.

current games and future games are core hungry , how the single threaded match up for upcoming games....!!!!

Take a look at this and compare the single threaded performance, multi core, price points etc, anything that matters to you and what you want it for but as already mentioned, currerntly higher single threaded performance is better for gaming.

yep as ^^ said it doesn't matter if the cpu has more cores when games use less cores and want speedy one too something the fx lacks in making the intel way better at gaming due to its higher single core performance

4 cores are more than enough, check some benchmarks from current games like GTA V, you will see even some dual core i3 with HT outperforming the 8350 at stock speed. Even if the i5 has 4 cores each core is way stronger than the 8350's cores.

You dont need more than 4 cores... It was to much tested and there is no questions about it... 4 cores for games is perfect.

asus GTX 960 2GB
8 GB ddr3 1600 MHz corsair vengeance
1 TB HDD seagate
600W cooler master
mid tower
19 inch samsung 19D300HY

now how are this specs ....!!!
and i want to which is better ps4 or my PC
and i5 4440 or fx 6300 or fx 8350...!!!
