Hello. I am looking for new CPU without having to change my mother board. I have decided on an i5 that fits an LGA1156 socket. I however do not know which is my best bet. An Intel Core i5 650 3.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor 4 MB Cache Socket LGA1156 H CPU, http://www.ebay.com/itm/321831033467?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

or an Intel Core i5 760 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Processor 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1156 CPU, http://www.ebay.com/itm/321842462393?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I don't know if its better to have the 760 (which I would actually quite like), or the 3.2GHz.

Can anyone help me?

Solution
i5 760 is more powerful because it's quad-core and has 8mb cache while i5 650 is dual core and has 4mb cache. More cores, the better the cpu is. So go for the i5-760.

But is it better to have that one which only has 2.8 ghz or do I want the 3.2 ghz? Does it effect performance? Which one is more worth it?

if you were to look at reviews from and the benchmarks from around the time when Intel Nehalem and westmere skus launched , you may find that a faster dual core will often get better performance in game , maybe due to dual core processors used have higher clocks , or just optimization of a dual core design. More so was this the case with Core 2 processors.
While games are not scaling perfectly across 4 cores just yet , DirectX titles are certainly more optimized. Today, with newer titles, that the very same i5's 750 would best the i5 650 in more games than not.
