Intel i5 Build: Good or Bad?

I've pretty much decided on a Ryzen 5 1600 build. But I'm just exploring my options and playing around with pcpp. So, this is what I came up with for an Intel i5 8600k build if I decide to go down the Intel path. Good or bad?

That cooler is not close to enough. If you want to save, get I5-8400, best bang for the money coffee lake CPU. Stock cooler will be fine for 8400. Put extra money on a GTX 1070

It's a fine build but I would rather cut back on the CPU to get a better GPU. 1060 is fine for 1080p gaming but a higher-end GPU will age better, especially with the new Coffee Lake platform.

i5-8400/GTX 1070 I think is a lot more appropriate for gaming.

Keep the K processor the ability to overclock can extend the life of the PC. When the processor no longer keeps up with demands you overclock the performance right back up instead of rebuilding again. You will need a new video card in a few years anyhow.
Change the cooler the M9i would work without overclocking but get better.
