The problem, I'm having right with my computer, it's that the cpu usage is very high while I play doom. The cpu usage is between 60% to 75%. Also, I want to add that when I'm using the anti aliasing TSSAA(8TX) in doom the gpu usage fluctuated, it goes down to 70% even until 60%. But when I use SMAA antialiasing, the gpu usage is 99%. But the cpu usage is still high. The temperatures of the cpu are low 40c to 45c. Gpu temperature 56c to 63c.
Why I'm having such high cpu usage? I'm playing at 1080p, power option is high performance. How can I solve this problem? This problem it produce ramdon freeze for a least 1-3 second, but the sound keep going.

My Specs:

Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor
Corsair - H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus - ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

PNY - Anarchy 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Asus - Radeon RX 580 8GB ROG STRIX Video Card
NZXT - S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

sorry for my writing, English is my second language.

What are you using to monitor your temps and framerate? GET MSI AB and Riva Tuner if you don't have it already and cap your FPS to your monitor's refresh rate whether 60, 120 or 144 mhz. I have found that some games will just bug out GPU's and cause them to work too hard. hope that helps

Hey guys, so my intel i5 8600k is not overclocked. I’m using it at stock. I have limited my frame rate to 142 FPS. The FPS is variable can be 100,120 even until 142. The monitor I have is Asus - MG248Q 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor
Before I have another system with different motherboard, graphic card and cpu. And it wasn’t giving me this problem when I was playing doom. The problem, It gives a stutter for 0.1 second, and another that it’s longer for 7 second. When I’m looking the msi afterburner, I can see when the long stuttering occurs the gpu usage hit 0%. And the FPS from the monitor hit 40. Also, in the metrics of the game when there is a small stutter, in cpu appear a red line. My old system specs:
Intel i7 -7700 non k
Xfx amd rx 580
Motherboard: Msi B250 pc mate
Power supply: Corsair cx750m

With this system, I wan’t having this problem.

Not my cpu is not at 100%, it happens kind of random, the cpu usage can between 60 or 70, after the long freeze. I can see my gpu going from 0 usage to the normal usage like 80,70 or 60. The ram is like 7gb or a little more. Maybe it’s just the game, I’m going try to test it in another games
