I've once heard that an intel i7 with a fan cooler can overtake a i5 (OverClocked) with a liquid cooler for around the same price.
I have done some research on what CPUs im buying for my new rig, and I cant decide on weather I should get a i7 with fan cooling or i5 with liquid cooling.
Here are some of my notes.
i5 4690k Liquid cooled, Corsair 110 GTX/NZXT Kraken X61/Swiftech H240-X
i5 6600k Liquid cooled, Corsair 110 GTX/NZXT Kraken X61/Swiftech H240-X
i7 4790k fan cooled, Noctua NH-D14/Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
i7 6700k fan cooled, Noctua NH-D14/Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
i5 I will overclock more than the i7.
It's a simple question and im sure people out there have it on the top of their minds but I don't so Ill be glad if someone could help.
I am limited to $3000 on the entire rig and will be optimized for gaming.
