Intel i7 2600k with gt1050ti vs R5 with gt730

which is better for a meantime? Intel i7-2600k with gt1050ti or a R5 2400g with 11 vega with a gt 730 (ddr5 1gb)? For planning to buy step by step purposes thanks!

The i7 2600K doesn't have any upgrade options, so the other option is better, but don't bother buying a GPU - the CPU comes with an integrated GPU that's better than the GT 730. Use the money for the GT 730 for something else, like 16 GB RAM, better PSU or a good SSD.

Hi shektron! thankyou for replying. uhmm just wanna ask you because im just new in this pc upgrading things. So all i have now is a Intel i7-2600k and a Gt 730 and was planning to upgrade my pc. im just confused if what will I buy first. The R5 first or the 1050ti first? If i buy the R5 first, i would have a R5 2400 g and a GT730. But if i buy a gt1050ti first, my pc build would be Intel i7-2600k and a gtx 1050ti.

Im just a newbie in this things so yeah, still a bit confused. But im gonna buy both r5 and gtx1050ti, but ill buy it separately because i dont have much money because im just still a student LOL and ill buy it in future lol, so thanks for replying to this message again!

Ahh ok my bad. If that is the case then buy the 1050 Ti first, that i7 still has some life left in it for gaming, and, especially with a mid-range GPU like the 1050 Ti. Go with the GPU upgrade first, then the CPU upgrade. Remember the CPU upgrade will also require a new motherboard and new RAM.

If you already have a 2600k, there is no reason to upgrade cpu. That can handle a 1080ti or any other gpu you want to throw in it. I still run a 2500k. Oc and it's good to go. The 2400g is too small of an upgrade to even do. You want at least a ryzen 7. But for gaming, you want a better gpu. Since you don't need to upgrade cpu for awhile, you can just spend more money on a better gpu.

will it work if you buy a Ryzen 5 2400g with vega 11 graphics and with a gt730 or gtx 1050ti? im still a little bit confused with gpus and stuffs. Because vega 11 is already a gpu right? so can you still insert a gt730/gtx1050ti with a r5 2400g with vega 11 graphics? thank you
