I just bought the Deepcool heatsink today, installed it and tried to play Dying Light to test the temperature but the temperature is still the same or even worse than the stock intel heatsink i've used before. What is the problem? Does my motherboard cause this?
Actually I did reapply the thermal paste before installing the new heatsink. My thermal paste is Deepcool z5.

Are you testing the CPU with prime95? Haswell runs hot on that. And probably not the best heat sink installation. I get those temps on prime95 on my 4670k but only 70C on aida64.

It is locked down, a little dot about a pea size
sorry for my bad english

No, i tried testing the cpu with LinX and the max temp went to 95 in instant. I stopped the test immediately

hahaha i forgot to remove the plastic in the heatsink before installing it
thanks man!
