You've stated things in the past tense. Where is your question?

Are you asking for a processor upgrade for your prebuilt beyond an i7-4770 or are you asking if you can upgrade to an i7-4770? If the former, no there's no possible processor upgrade without having to overhaul the innards(and essentially the entire prebuilt).

If you want to know if you can use a 4770 in that then yes you can. I'm not familiar enough with the cooling for that machine, but as long as as it's a non-K SKU CPU it should be fine.

I was using an overclocked Pentium G3258 with a GT 720 until recently when I swapped it for an i7-4770K.

You might find your Dell's BIOS does not support overclocking 'K' series processors, so stick with the non 'K' series.
