Intel i7 4790k - Turbo Mode?

Hello guys,

I've stressed a bit my CPU to check the temperatures under heavy load but i noticed on Prime95, that my frequency maximizes at 4.0 Ghz, while Turbo is enabled. Shouldnt be able to run at 4.4?

Also, Intel Frequency ID reports 4.2 Ghz expected.

Sorry, for silly question but that CPU is driving me crazy..

The max frequency will only be reached, if half of the cores is idle. That doesn't happen while stresstesting with a multithreaded tool. You may want to read some more about what the turbo mode is, before getting crazy.
