Hi,

I am looking for a good motherboard for the i7 4930K ivy bridge E . I would like one that I could overclock the cpu pretty good or at least give me a better chance at better results on overclocking. I do not want to flash the bios and would like a mother board that is made for ivy bridge e to install and start doing tests for OC. I heard Asus Rampage IV black edition is a good one but does it require a bios flash? On the i7 4930K does it OC better than haswell 4770K? Also for this board I wanted to go quad channel would it be better (4x4)16GB 2400 mhz or 8x4(32GB) 2400mhz. Please my eyes and ears are open.

I also side with the Rampage IV Black edition, and it shouldn't require a BIOS flash. If it does need one, its easy to flash it, just put the file from Asus onto a USB thumbdrive, plug it into your motherboard, boot from the USB, and it should flash it. Also, the i7-4770k OC slightly better than the i7-4930k, but the performance of two extra cores easily regains the performance. For memory, I recommend Corsair Dominator Platinums with a CAS of 9 either DDR3-1600 or 1866MHz. Linus from LinusTechTips did a video and proved that DDR3-2133 with CAS of 9 performed better than DDR3-2400 with CAS of 11.
