Hey all, thanks in advance for looking at this. I just built a new rig with the intel i76700k. I'm using:

EVGA Hadron Air case
Intel I7 6700K
2 Noctua Fans
Cryorig C7 Mini Itx CPU Cooler with Arctic Silver paste.
500W EVGA Power supply with an
ASUS GTX 970 Strix Graphics Card
Asus Z170i Pro Gaming Motherboard
16gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Ram
Samsung Evo 840 SSD 120 GB

I've noticed at idle temps are good around 28-30c. However, once the CPU gets used to about 20%, temps go up to 60-70c, and when the CPU goes from 30-50% temps are 80-90C. As soon as I see this, I shut the PC down because I don't want to fry the CPU. Can anyone think of what might be causing this? Is the case too small for all the stuff? is the GPU too big? How can I make the CPU cool down?

I believe I have my CPU cooler installed correctly because it is pretty snug but I suppose that could be the problem. Thanks for your help.

Solution
The cooler you are using is too small for the application. Though better then the install stock cooler its probably not suitable for this build.
