Intel i7 7700k CPU inside a Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Motherboard?

Currently trying to upgrade from an i5 3750k. Will an old motherboard such as the Z77-DS3H limit the power of a newer i7 processor? Pretty sure they're compatible, but would I have to upgrade my motherboard in order to make the best use of my cpu?

7700k need 1151 socket, yours 1155, not compatible

They aren't compatible at all.

You can only use 3000 series CPUs in there.

I have don't any idea about this motherboard. but it is ultra fast.
