I am looking for solid cooling as I am currently using this stock cooler and am consistently getting crazy temps of around 100 during usage, I am not overclocking and do not have plans to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005B8SNQE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The CPU runs very well, but very hot and it is starting to cause performance issues, I'm worried about getting a heavy cooler because I travel with this PC to a from college quite often and do not want to damage the CPU if I go over a speedbump too hard or it gets shaken a bit. I have a very solid amount of space so that should not be an issue

What is it used for? Is the PC frequently at high load? Either way it shoudln't get quite that hot even with the stock cooler.

Check the cooler, first that it's firmly secured to it's posts and isn't loose, then that it's clean of dust.

Gaming mostly, I play a lot of large games like GTA V, battlefield and battlefront, my idle temps are about 30, 40 with browsing and above 90 with games like that. Other games dont spike my temps as bad

OK, those temps might be a bit high even for the stock cooler but for gaming you'll want a better cooler. DO you have a budget?
