Hey,

I have had an ongoing freezing issue with my PC and have tried many things to no avail.

While under load (playing Overwatch at 144hz on Medium settings 1080p) and while just browsing chrome my computer freezes for about 5 seconds and then resumes operating. Task manager shows that some of my CPU cores spike to 100% utilization.

I have done 2 complete hard drive wipes and OS reinstall. I have run Memtest and an array of other diagnostic tools.

I have also run User benchmark and an array of other benchmarking which has shown my CPU to be performing above expectation.

I'm unsure as to what the issue is as I don't believe it to be a software issue and can't determine if it is a faulty CPU

My specs are: Asus GTX 980

Intel Core I7 8700K

Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 16gb (2x8)

Asus Z370 ROG Maximus X Hero

Corsair 550 Watt Power Supply

Corsair h115i Pro

No, I don't have any overclocking and I've made sure to set the bios clocking to default. I'll try turning multicore enhancement off now. My CPU temps seem okay, peaking at 75 while under a stress test. I tried changing my PSU to a new one but the freezing just occurred.
