I have an Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 3.3GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA2011 Six-Core 32nm Processor, Model: BX80619I73960X that I won at a concert sponsored by Intel. What I really wanted was a laptop, is is worth spending the time and money to put it into a laptop. I am a complete novice....help

It is physically impossible. You can't put a desktop I7 in a laptopsocket. They share the same name but they are not the same. A laptop I7 uses less power, has a lower TDP and a different socket. Even if you could put the processor the laptop would overheat within seconds a latop could never handle a 130 watt TDP.
