Question Intel i9 12900K or 5900x CPU….

Due to my pc being damaged and I got to replace parts (mobo that have a broken pci-e clip that holds gpu and old ram), plus windows 11 seems to be having terribly issues on Ryzen…

Would it be a good idea to purchase a Intel Core i9-12900K, Z790 Mobo and 32GB DDR5 for $435 tax included

How are you planning to add memory?

Only going to have four slots, and mixing memory doesn't always work. So unless you have 2x32GB DDR4 already, adding 32GB not going to work.

5900X is pretty decent. 5950X would get you more cores without needing to do much.

Any DDR4 Intel chip is going to a downgrade in that regard. 8P cores and up to 16 E cores.

To get the higher core count chips is going to put you much closer to the $600 mark.
