Question Intel i9 9900k

Hello guys, im new here.
I'm going to build a gaming pc and about to buy intel i9 9900k is it okay to not overclock it ?
Cause 9900 unlocked, but i guess i don't need the overclock for now.
So is it safe to buy unlocked and not overclock?
