I skim through several pages of threads and did a search on this topic, couldn't find a read. Also, I hope this is the right section to post this question...

Ok, what is Intel vPro? Well, it's my understanding that it's more of (IT live maintenance) remote management, correct? It's something that to be enabled or disabled. Enabled would allow it to open the CPU (and other components) to remote IT techs see and watch performance LIVE, correct? Disabled would be it run just like a regular i7 CPU, correct?

In order to have Intel Iris Xe, does it differ with or without vPro CPU? I am still confused if whether Xe (or Xe MAX) REAL mean DISCRETE graphic card and if it REAL a shared memory or it's own memory? There's not clear what Xe and Xe MAX is discrete and/or shared memory on the 'net. Also, if Xe is a shared memory, it's still a discrete graphic?

"Any kind" discrete graphic would at least (of course) mean "less" stress on the CPU, thus, less unnecessary heat, correct?

My mind is set on discrete graphics (from many years), so this is all I think. I know I could do just fine with regular integrated graphic, but bothers me... causes to degrade the CPU itself and heat issues. I had (high end) Thinkpad for over 10 years and it still run so strong (fast) on daily uses. Yes, it was discrete graphic (those were good 'ol days with OC and all kinds of technology changes in short time). The moment I "lead" my laptop to my son loading MapleStory (nowadays it's Minecraft), it became ruined!

My goal in looking for is 2-in-1 laptop, 15" without numpad (a must without!), touch, i7 with some kind discrete graphic, and amount other small things... as of now, those search pops up the same DELL 9520. MSI or Lenovo or others doesn't have 15" without numpad.

I am interested in specifically this 2-in-1 laptop, but not for that price ($2,429). Impressive it's a EVO.

Once before, I was so close in buying a Haswell laptop, but I became distracted with other things, and forgot about it. Nowadays, it's Tiger Lake (n10), which is good! No need for Ice Lake or wait for next around-corner features.
