Whats really the difference between the k and x? What advantages does one have over the other? What advantage the the x have over the k? and vice-versa.

I know k is unlocked.
I know x stand for "extreme edition" and is unlocked, but is it anymore unlocked than the k, and whats so "extreme" about it?

Thanks

K denotes unlocked processors, and X denotes extreme processors.
The suffix does not make one better than another, but the extreme edition processors are their top end.

For example, Haswell-E K series with 12, vs the X series with 16 threads
