Basically as the title. I have an Alienware M17 (motherboard: Alienware 03R2RY)
It has a Killer Gigabit Ethernet Receiver and Wireless adapter. However, when I try to use Doubleshot Pro (basically to lower the load on the Ethernet port so it shares Download/Upload between the Wireless and Ethernet card/port if thats what it aims to do - based on what I've read online thats what it's supposed to try to do) nothing happens except the Wireless remains inactive and the Ethernet continues to take the full load?
Wireless Card: Killer AC1550 Wireless Network Adapter (9260NGW) 160mhz
Ethernet Port: Killer E2500 Gigabit Ethernet Controller

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/alienware-m17-laptop/drivers
Using this support link, check and see if you've got any BIOS updates pending. Following that, manually uninstall both your Ethernet and Wireless drivers, without rebooting, manually reinstall the latest drivers for the PCIe based Ethernet adapter and the AC-1550 wireless adapter.
I ran (Dell) SupportAssist and Windows Update both which came up with no available updates currently.
Killer Control Center gets its updates through Intel DSA which also has no available updates.

I wonder if this is new intel stuff or killer garbage before intel bought them. When I used to look at motherboard if the ethernet chipset was killer I automatically disqualified it. They used to put special code into the drivers which caused all kinds of strange issues. These products are all marketing hype sold to people who think if you put "gamer" on the box it makes it better.

Any type of software like this that look at data packets can cause random lag and delays. It increases the cpu load and if the cpu is busy it can affect traffic.

What are you doing that is going to exceed 1gbit ethernet. If you are trying to run some massive file copy to a local network drive maybe consider buying a 2.5 or even 10gbit ethernet they are not very expensive. Your internet connection is going to limit any traffic before your ethernet port does in most cases.

Hard to say what your problem is. The port in your machines are working in the standard configuration. Ethernet will always be favored over wifi unless it fails.

What this software attempts to do is send some application over wifi and other over ethernet. You have to manually set this from what I have seen. It is similar to some other older software that attempted to assign processes to interfaces. Modern applicatons are not so simple. Most have multiple processes, you can't just use the name of the program because to many things run at the same time.

In general there is no real reason to do this. It is a pain to configure and if you mess up it will actually hurt your performance.
