This is a fantastic idea, and I am excited to propel interaction 10 fold with a device interaction like this. As someone mentioned, people with physical disabilities would do great with this. Thumbs-up.

Aside from the obvious security risks this will bring as soon as its completely developed and can be done remote the biggest problem would be all the jobs that we will lose. Any one can think way faster then they can type and a lot of employees at a lot of different functions already lost their jobs to machines. Seriously an accounting firm where i am hired from time to time has 12 people just to type digits from a sheet in to a database. It would make sense that with this technology 11 of them will lose their job.

[citation][nom]meat81[/nom]Ok then, so why are they not making their CPU's Cheaper?[/citation]
Because they don't need to. Intel cpu's sell like hotcakes at current pricing.

Why is this a bad thing? Maybe it will force people to develop skills beyond that of a particularly industrious monkey.

[citation][nom]jesman1985[/nom]20 or 30 years from now this may be possible.. but i dont see this happening mainstream anytime soon.. and i dont really see this as a good thing..[/citation]If we don't all die in 2012 and I am still alive (I'm 29)... I wouldn't mind seeing this.

lol, just saw the URL to this article : http://www.tomshardware.com/news/brain-scan-mind-reading-we-know-you-are-thinking-about-porn,11162.html#

You guys are f'ing psychics!

Who cares about privacy? If you're not speaking out your mind all the time you are a coward and probably a pedophile.
Damn right I want the mind reading technology but seeing how speech recognition is still useless I'm not holding my breath.

OMG in the future people with multi-personality disorder will be called Multitakers?

This isn't exactly "new" technology. There have been computers capable of reading brain wave patterns and executing commands for years. Privacy issues will prevent these from ever being released to the public for any reason short of a fascist government.

Privacy issues? As long as my mind remains a "read-only" file. Imagine if it wasn't... there might be some issues with viruses.

[citation][nom]zipzoomflyhigh[/nom]Well if they can read our mind, they should know that we prefer cheaper AMD cpu's.[/citation]

Not really. I prefer quality in my CPUs.

You get what you pay for.

In order to avoid the fine from EU for not letting AMD survive!

There is no way for AMD to survive if Intel priced 750 and 980X exactly the same as 955 and 1090T.

In addition, let's make a fair comparison (ie. i5 750 v.s. Phenom II 955). Until recent price drop on the phasing out 955, 750 cost about the same while performing much better especially when OCed.

Don't want to learn how to OC even there are many guides on the internet?
Then it's your laziness instead of Intel's stock performance should be blamed for! BTW, even the stock performance of 750 is amazing compared to 955.

Please stop speak as if AMD would offer you cheaper price if they were better.

Remember how much AMD pinch you for when their Athlon X64 beat Intel's Pentium D to death?

AMD is cheaper AT THE MOMENT simply because they ARE worse NOW. Phenom II products are far from being good in cost-performance.

Although it's hard to come true in the near future, it could be possible.

Who would think it is possible for human to travel in the space 400~500 years ago?
