Intel Management Engine Interface Code 43

Hi. I have an HP that is running windows 8 and my device manager says that there is a problem with Intel Management Engine Interface and give me a code 43. It says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems code 43. My computer has been running extremely slow and I'm guessing this is the reason. Can somebody please tell me how to fix it.
