Network Card: Intel X540 T1

Installation
Installed in PCIE Slot 3 (x16)
Latest drivers from intels website installed.

Currently my MB network adapter, Intel I218-V auto negotiates to 1Gbps Link speed & provides me with around 102MB file transfer - As expected.

If I switch to the newly installed Network card X540-T1 my Link speed auto negotiates to 100MBPS and has super low file transfer.

If I force the Link speed to 1Gbps the adapter tells me a network cable is unplugged.

I am trying to get it working as we are having a 10 Gbps network installed soon but for now I just want to use the card on our 1Gbps network.

Any help would be great thanks!

I would have though so!
At the moment I only have 1Gbps and I would have expected the card to recognise that.

Try testing with an Ubuntu live cd.
