hi all bought one of these NUC's to down size my gaming rig and i use an M audio M track 2 audio interface for my studio monitor speakers for purely music,films etc. my problem is that the m audio intercae requires a dual core 2.3ghz cpu on the website requiremnts and this nuc is only has a intel dual core 1.7ghz will this run fine? with a samsung pro 240gb ssd 8gbs crutial ram @ 1600mhz

It requires a Core 2 Duo 2.3gHz or faster. Considering that i3 is faster than a 3gHz C2D, you should be fine.

you can tell im an amd fanboy with my 8350 running at 5.10ghz i thought "intel core 2 duo" meant dual cores hense the "duo" but obviousley not! ha thanks for clearing that up for me much appreciated !

you think the nuc will still be usable? as in surfing the net etc fast ish...whilst this software is open and playing music? looks like ill have 500mbs left to play with on the cpu threshold looks like it will be utilizing near on 75%

or so you think id be best off with one of these?

It'll be fine. You could blow $700 on the Skull Canyon one but at that point I would just build a system in the M-Box M350 with the i7-5575C.
