Hello,

I am currently running a pretty good setup with a 4GB GPU, 3.9GHz CPU, 16GB RAM and SSD but want to get rid of this and go for something smaller as I only play CSGO and nothing much else.

I came across an Intel NUC at work and was wondering how would it run with CSGO? I am used to a good framerate and can't really play on the lower end graphics that well.

The NUC I wanted to buy is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N6SRT4H/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AN4O4IKO17KHR&psc=1 WITH 16GB RAM.

Do you think this would be good enough to be playing CSGO whilst getting good resolution and high framerate? Would it make a difference if I had 16GB or 8GB as I know the game doesn't require too much spec.

Thanks for the responses in advance! :)

Intel hd graphics still aren't good enough for cs go. Either get a laptop or a mini itx rig.

The Intel Iris Plus 640 is generally about equal to a nVidia 920mx and is more powerful than the Intel HD 620 that is more common in 7th gen Intel CPUs. See link below for benchmarks of the Intel HD 620 which includes CSGO; it is capable of achieving 42.7 FPS at 1080p using ultra settings.

The following is a shorter list of game benchmarks for the Intel Iris Plus 640. CSGO is not included.

Thank you all that have replied.

I will look into an itx build, it's just the size of the NUC that is very appealing and if it can do the job that I need it to do then it would be very happy days.

Cheers!
