Ok question, I bought an Alienware Aurora r7. I have had performance issues and I've read up on a few things to do. One of which is replace the intel optane memory with a nvme. I currently don't have a nvme so I need to order it. My question is, should I go ahead and disable the optane memory in the rapid storage technology then BIOS? Will it help/ hurt performance or will i not see any change until I replace the memory with the nvme? Thanks in advance!

Solution
From those specs, it would appear to be two individual drives.
A 254GB PCIe/NVMe, and a 1TB spinning HDD.

For stuff that appears to be slow...where is that installed?

Everything runs so slow, downloads on games, the game performance itself, heck the shut downs and boot ups take forever lol I hooked up an 8 year old pc thats running i5-3570 and 8gb of ram and I suffered from gpu performance (FPS) but everything on it ran much smoother.
