Intel Optane on Z170 MB

Hello all , last week i purchased and installed an intel 7700k processor in my MSI M2 z170 motherboard , and after updating the bios everything works fine , then i heard about intel Optane and that it only supports z270 chipsets but since i'm using this processor without the usually required chipset my question is : Will Optane work with my chipset ? Everything is updated here on my end.

According to intel, the optane can support 7th cpu ( no all of them) + 200 series chipset MB only. Because you had the 100 series chipset MB, for now you can't use the optane on the z170. But who knows intel will update the BIOS on 100 series chipset MB for optane or not.

Thanks for answering , with this considered i'd be better off just purchasing an M2 SSD instead , but damn are those little things expensive.
