Intel or AMD?

OK, I have $250 and want to build a Intel box or at least see a comparable to what I have already picked out. I already have a case, hard drive, fans ect. so all I need is motherboard,processor, I have 8gigs of DD3 2400. I picked out ASRock FM2A88X and A AMD A10-7870K for a total of $215
What I need is A INTEL system that is comparable in speed and price. Thanks for the help!

Which version of the board did you pick: PRO3+, Extreme4+, Extreme6+, + Killer, or ITX+? That will make a difference when considering if there's an Intel build to suggest.

Also, since the OP gave us a price in US $, it's probably not a good idea to suggest to him UK builds with prices based on British pounds sterling. That "save your money" build converts to $269 USD (more expensive than the AMD solution), while the "same cost" build converts to $356.60 USD (much more expensive).

I am in the USA so I need something that is less expensive but will have the same or at least close bench marks.

CPU's do not really affect performance. The margin of FPS difference of CPU's in the past 10 years are 1-5fps.

The Intel CPU i5-4460 should absolutely suit every thing you need it for.

I believe the OP does not have an external graphics card yet. My guess is the question, and that he did not list it in what he has. What power supply do you have OP? and can you confirm which graphics card you have if any.
