Indeed it was intended to be sarcasm. Intel's added revenue was insane in pure $ (as well as %)

Wait until they put out Silvermont ATOMS in 2013. They will be in the phone and tablet market heavy with that chip. Full SOC that they will no doubt put in all kinds of devices (cars, consumer electronics, etc.). Expect a full computer onslaught from Intel this decade. Intel Everywhere instead of Intel Inside will be their campaign.

Eh thats more towards PC gaming not just PC.

[citation][nom]SLABBO[/nom]kinda hard not to do well, when you pretty much have a monopoly on desktop and notebook, or anything with x86 chips.[/citation]

How is Intel a monopoly? They have competition in all sectors. Is it their fault competition is not competitive? Intel's winning due to their excellent work and quality. If anything competition with Arm which is just starting might prompt them to go into an even bigger overdrive.

Sad for AMD, tough for Arm, good in the end for us consumers. At the end of the day you as a purchasing customer (or any firm) can pick and choose, based on the price/performance what's good for you. Intel's solutions are very good choices at this point in time.
