Hi Guys. I'm going to buy a 9600 gt for my Intel Pentium G2020 Processor With 4GB Ram, Will they Match each other? Please be Honest and Don't Tell me that this GPU is bad, buy a better one <3

My Specs are
CPU = Intel Pentium G2020
GPU = Already Intel HD (Integrated GPU), Gonna buy 9600 gt
Ram = 4GBs DDR3
Motherboard = Gigabyte H61M-S2PV Rev 2.2

Will My PC Works good with 9600 gt GPU? Thx

Buy it for very little money and IT WILL improve your gaming significantly...

I had a pentium G 2030 paired with a gt 9800 1gb and 4gb of ram.
I played BF3 online with it back in the day. A good combo, I remember playing flawessly AC 1 and 2, Rome and Medieval 2 total war, Metro 2033, to name a few.

Edit: just remembered, I had done a fan mod to the 9800:

You might need to check temp issues or go for an AMD low profile card that matches the 9600 / 9800 performance. The video's rubber bands can be improved with zip ties... My 9800 modded is still running on my parents pc.

How much is the 9600 GT? I'm guessing it's used, but I wouldn't pay much for one of those at this point, as it was a mid-range part when it came out a decade ago, and at this point it is likely to perform worse than the integrated graphics in Intel's current desktop processors, and much worse than the Vega integrated graphics in AMD's current APUs.

It is likely to be a decent amount faster than the integrated graphics in your older Pentium processor though, and if you are buying one used for cheap, like around $20-$25, it might be an alright way to breathe some life into the system. At prices much higher than that though, you are getting a bit too close to what it costs for newer, much faster cards.

Also, be aware that some 9600 GTs require your power supply to have a 6-pin PCIe power cable, while others don't, which might be something to pay attention to if your system has a low-end power supply that lacks one.

So you mean 9600 gt Matches a G2020, right?
