I've been trying to build a Gaming PC, and is Intel Xeon any better than the i7? Also, is i7 better than i5? I thought Xeon was for servers, but it seems like a great choice for a Gaming PC.

Xeon is not good for gaming, it's for servers and serious workstations. i5 4690k is better than most i7's when it comes to gaming. As I see your budget is not small, the best processor for any money is Intel Core i7 5930k.

They are powerfull but not quite good and reliable. Even an Intel I3 will outperform 90% of amd's.

If your not interested in overclocking the xeon e3 123* v* is absolutely perfect for gaming, its an i7 without igp taking up half the die, lower tdp and for less money. Dont listen to 'for server' nonsense its a smarter buy for gaming pc with dgpu, I game on one now.
