I always had this question in my mind.
I know every single diference in each os these processors lines so this is not the question here.

My question is:
For what the Core I3 is designed? General use? Home theater pc? light gaming? And I5s, I7s Celerons Atoms and Pentiums?

I know you can do gaming on I3, and even on Pentium, but my question is for whate they was meant by Intel.

Thanks in advance, and sorry about my english.

Solution
Ok, here is a breakdown of the CPU purposes (IMO):

Atoms: ultra-small-and-low-power chips
Celeron: Chromebooks, extreme budget web browsing machines
Pentium: Ultra budget gaming, HTPC, web browsing
Core i3: Budget gaming or extreme budget rendering
Core i5(locked): Mid-range gaming or budget rendering
Core i5(unlocked): High-end gaming or normal rendering
Core i7 (locked): Mid-range rendering, not usually used for games
Core i7 (unlocked): Rendering, advanced gaming
Core i7 (X99): Extreme gaming and advanced rendering
Xeon: Rendering or server use

By "rendering" I mean any program that uses a CPU to do workstation tasks (3D CAD, scientific computing, video editing and rendering, etc.)

Hope this helped.
