Most of you probly already saw it.
Thats for all the people saying that Intel would have a hard time financially because of Prescott.

Also how do you think the 3.73 2mb L2 cache /1066FSB is going to scale? It should do pretty good IMO because the extra cache/extra bandwith with the higher FSB/higher clockspeed will all help to fill that long Pipeline. Anyway im curious to see how it will stack up against 90nm A64.
Also its probly the last Core update before Intel move dual core so it should be interesting.
Should be pretty expensive too with. Could it be possible to see a P4eEE based on that core too? 2mb L2 cache and some L3 could be impressive and EXPENSIVE....

And here I thought that the goal of every corporation is the betterment of mankind.

It's a misleading statment one of the worst quarter reports ever with a great spin put on it. If it was as simple as that intel would not be down 50% in the last 6 months and certainly not down the 8.5% it is this morrning after that great news. Intel cannot sell all their prescotts and now has a lot of inventory build up so much inventory intel said they would slow waffer starts. Idle fabs and lower future guidance is what is hurting intel this morrning. AMD will report after the close if AMD reports good or beats expectations one could assume intels pain is do to competion. If AMD reports poorly one could assume the market is just slow.

If I glanced at a spilt box of tooth picks on the floor, could I tell you how many are in the pile. Not a chance, But then again I don't have to buy my underware at Kmart.

You can listen to the quartly report online probbably get it off intels web site or yahoo thats where the discuss the extra inventory build up and the plan to slow waffer starts. the negative future guidance is in the press release.

The sad thing is the way the statment is released it could fool the small invester who don't see the bigger picture so he gets hurt while wall street bailes. All the news came out last night and the market (those who read between the lines) are responding.

thier net profit may have gone up 96 percent, but thier stock went down more then 4% becuase investors didnt like that most of that profit came from lower end items

Actualy it's comparing Q2 03 to Q2 04 and Q2 03 was extreamly weak. Intel is now down 9% on the day. It's the future outlook being bleak less rosy and intel slowing fabs and shifting to lower margin products like chipsets flash these things are more competitive as anyone can compete.

AMD just released their numbers earnings inline with expectations but no signifigant gains. put the same stupid spin on revenues up 96% year over year.

Hey, M$ makes good mice and joysticks. Some people even manage to like their keyboards. So as far as I can tell their hardware doesn't suck, only their software does. Ironic, no?
