Intel Q6600 G0 Hot With Old Thermal Paste

Hi, my Intel Q6600 G0 has been running quite hot (Can't overclock because it gets way to hot) since I used my old tube of Arctic Silver Ceramique that I bought in August 2007, and I found out that is has separated because there is liquid coming out of the tube, is there any way to properly mix it without making a mess of the paste and syringe?
Maybe I'll have to end up buying a MX-2 or MX-3 tube even do I do really have the money for it

yeah I wouldn't bother with that stuff. I would just get a tube of AS5. Its not that expensive and will do a fine job.

Hmm AS5 is quite outdated by now and is conductive so it might be risky, I heard that the Arctic Cooling MX-2 & MX-3 are way better

well go with them then.

AS5 is no more risk now than it was 5 years ago and it was fine then, the heat spreader means that conductivity is irrelevant. it'll be 1-2C different to modern stuff.

I'm using a Thermalright Ultima-90 CPU Heatsink, so I don't have any push-pins, they are all screws.

AS5 is still a very good thermal compound despite its age. For the price it is hard to beat.

agreed with the above. AS5 is solid. Not great, but easy to apply, and doesn't crack or dry out quickly. Ceramique obviously does. I've heard really good things about Noctua's thermal paste. Forget what it's called though.

I wonder if the Thermalright's Thermal Paste that my heatsink came with, is still any good since I haven`t even opened it yet.

If its Thermalright's "The Chill Factor" thermal interface material it should perform at least as well or better than AS5.
