Intel q6600 Overheating

Hello over the last week my q6600 cpu has been overheating it's not overclocked i've been using the stock cooler and it's 5 years old it mostly overheats ( and by overheats i mean my fps goes to 0-5 and cpu usage goes to 100% ) when i run games like gta v or planetside 2 etc , I also have no idea what to look into a cpu fan does it need to have high rpm count ? or how much space it takes etc so i would really like a cpu fan suggestion price range 1-30€

To me it sounds more like you need to clean your cpu cooler fins, fan, and reapply new thermal paste. Don't forget to clean the top of the cpu or to unplug the ac cord before you begin.

1 think i forgot to mention is that i already cleaned my cpu and reapplied paste so i am 80% sure that it's cpu fan malfunction

A Cooler Master 212 Evo would be great, but you may have to remove the motherboard if you have an old case.

Seems like a good one but i cant find it near my area ,unfortunately paypal is disabled in my country and i cant make any internet transactions is ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 good for my cpu?

It's fine as long as you don't overclock over 3.0 GHz.
